The Happy Jack Memorial Scholarship was founded in July of 2013 in honor and memory of John Thomas "Jack" Doyle. Jack died of a brain tumor at the age of 8 1/2 months. At the time of his passing Jack had an older brother and another sibling on the way, Brayden, who was born in November following Jack's passing. I can't imagine what it's like to go through life with a loss of your sibling but now Sean & Brayden have to do just that.
This scholarship is awarded once a year to a candidate who has lost a sibling and done so with honoring their lost brother or sister. Our goal is to not only help this candidate with their higher education but also keep their siblings memory alive like we are doing with the Happy Jack Fund. We hold an annual dinner in the Spring where we present the scholarship to the candidate but more importantly, honor their family and sibling at the event. For more information on the dinner please visit the dinner page on this site.
While I wish there weren't a group of applicants for this type of scholarship, we are honored to try and help you remember your loved one. If you have lost a sibling and meet the qualifications please download an application and fill it out.
